Oviedo (EFE).- A 55-year-old worker has died when he fell from the roof of a warehouse in the Oviedo council, sources from the National Police have confirmed.
The accident occurred yesterday, Thursday afternoon, in a warehouse located on Camino de la Cerámica street, when the operator fell from a height of about eight meters.
Several police patrols, as well as the health services, were moved to the place, which could only certify the death of the worker.
This is the second fatal work accident that has occurred in the Asturian capital in a little over fifteen days, after a man died on July 4 when he fell from several meters high when he was working in a building under construction in the central Fray Ceferino street.
According to the latest data published by the Asturian Society for Economic and Industrial Studies (Sadei), between January and May seven deaths in work accidents had already been recorded in the community, one more than in the first five months of last year, in addition to 22 serious accidents, eight less.
