Logroño, (EFE).- The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, shared this Wednesday with the National Police and the Civil Guard the sample included in a conference on “Young talent for a safe Europe”, on the eve of the informal meeting of EU Ministers of the Interior and Justice, which will be held the next two days in Logroño.
The head of Interior has arrived at the central Logroño promenade of Espolón where this exhibition is being exhibited since Tuesday, which aims to make the public aware of the existing cutting-edge technology to turn the European space into a safe environment.
During his tour, the minister has stopped at each of the spaces set up to exhibit the different specialties that both bodies use in their daily work and has spoken with those responsible, such as vehicles, drones, canine handlers and cavalry units.
He has also greeted National Police officers integrated into the European Police Stations project, on a tour in which he has taken selfies and photographs with the many visitors who have come to the exhibition.
Grande-Marlaska has been very close to the instructor of the Special Training Center (CAE) of the Civil Guard of La Rioja Luis Miguel López, who, in November 2022, suffered a serious accident during an operational exercise, for which they had to amputate a leg.
Two Civil Guard and National Police dogs present at this exhibition have also aroused the affection of the minister, who has caressed them while listening to the explanations of their instructors.
