A Coruña, Jul 18 (EFE).- Former President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has defended this Tuesday that this electoral race for 23J “is the campaign of truth” and, therefore, has maintained that the PP candidate, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, must “rectify” and apologize to the journalist.
In an act in A Coruña, Rodríguez Zapatero, shouting “to the polls, to the polls”, confessed that what he is most proud of in his life is “of being a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party”, for which When the president and socialist candidate called elections for July 23, he thought: “I am going to give everything as the party gave everything for me”, he stated before assuring that women’s rights are at risk.
He has appeared to “defend the truth” against Feijóo, whose campaign reaches “delirium” after having heard that “it is worse to know English if you are president.”
Rodríguez Zapatero has ironized that Feijóo yesterday arrived at TVE “relaxed” with a forecast that he will add “457 seats” and that “they will not fit” in Congress.
“It happened that the lie does not last long and the truth makes its way. And it turns out that he had said about the revaluation of pensions according to the CPI in the debate, many people answered him, but he kept it on the radio, until a journalist caught him and said, ‘Listen.’ And Feijóo persisted, but now he says that it is an inaccuracy. Inaccuracy no, it lacked the truth. And if he wants to rectify, as he demanded of the journalist in that tone, what he has to do is go out, rectify, say, ‘I was wrong and I apologize to the journalist,’ ”he added.
