limited intervention
The report of the team that has examined the macsura, with three domed spaces that are substantially square in plan and function as skylights that emphasize the position of the Mihrab, has determined that the decoration of the spaces on which it is intended to act presents notable deterioration caused on all due to humidity, both by infiltration through the roofs, and by the effects of condensation.
The project foresees an action on the roofs to solve the problems of sealing or ventilation. While in the coatings of the vaults will be intervened in a specific way according to need in plastering and packing.
In the mosaics, both in the original work and in the different repairs, the intervention will be as limited as possible. To maintain the work as it has come to this day.
The origin and technique of existing paintings in the different locations will be studied for their consolidation, assessing their integration.
Specific actions are also contemplated for the installation of electricity, lighting and fire detectors, for improvements and adaptation of these systems to current regulations.
The Heritage Commission provides that some of the planned actions have, according to the results, a prior archaeological intervention. EFE
