Almería, (EFE).- The Civil Guard has dismantled an organization with the arrest of nine people who sold marijuana in candy wrappers in sports nutrition establishments, grow shops, tobacconists and service stations.
Nearly two tons of marijuana buds have been intervened, more than 100 marijuana plants, 12 kilos of hashish sting. More than five kilos of hashish resin, two vehicles, close to 20,000 euros in cash. And another 51,000 euros immobilized in a bank account at the disposal of the courts. And various computer equipment, he has reported in a statement.
In addition to the nine detainees, 147 more people have been investigated, four searches have been carried out in Granada and Valencia. And 244 inspections have been carried out in establishments in 31 Spanish provinces.
Sports nutrition establishments
The operation began as a result of several investigations carried out by the Civil Guard in Almería. After learning that psychotropic products derived from cannabis with a legal appearance were being marketed in different establishments in the province.
The agents located a company in the province of Granada that had a perfectly organized structure. To carry out the production, preparation, distribution and sale of these cannabis-derived products for human consumption in establishments such as sports nutrition stores, Growshops, tobacconists and even service stations, as products for ornamental use.
The operation has been coordinated between the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Almería and the Court of First Instance and Instruction 2 of those of Berja (Almería). EFE
