Madrid, (EFE).- Judges and prosecutors have threatened this Friday to “adopt the pressure measures that are necessary” if the remuneration agreement they signed with the Ministries of Justice and Finance and Public Function on May 23 is not complied with before the general elections on July 23.
The agreement, which entails a salary increase of about 450 euros gross per month, is pending approval by the Council of Ministers for its entry into force, the six judicial and prosecutorial associations that signed the agreement recalled this Friday in a joint statement, all except the majority Professional Association of the Magistracy, which considered the increase insufficient.
“The electoral advance, which has shortened the duration of the legislature, in our opinion obliges the Government of the Nation to meet this commitment and do so urgently, so that its forecasts are effective on the agreed dates,” judges and prosecutors say. , which will demand “before the courts the fulfillment of a clearly binding agreement”.
Also the lawyers of the administration of Justice, the first to reach this year a remuneration agreement with the Government of between 430 and 450 gross euros more per month, have urged the Executive to fulfill its commitments before 23J.
In a letter sent this Thursday to the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, they urged him to “comply with the agreement on its own terms”, since it was to enter into force at the latest in this month of July, as they recall.
