San Sebastián (EFE).- The Basque actress Itziar Ituño transforms into a dual witch, luminous and dark, to announce the 34th San Sebastián Week of Fantastic and Horror Cinema, which will be held from October 27 to November 3 .
The interpreter of the inspector Raquel Murillo in the famous series “La casa de papel” has presented this Thursday the poster of the contest, together with its director, Josemi Beltrán. The event was held at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, where a short was screened on the makeup, wardrobe and characterization process of the actress in the photo session.
The result has been a large number of images by photographer Marta Fresnillo. With them the festival will illustrate different supports, among them, its advertising poster, designed in the form of a tarot card.
Itziar Ituño, a movie witch
Ituño has been happy to “play the witch” protagonist of the San Sebastian Week. She has been “a gift” because “since she was a child” she has been a “fan” of fantastic cinema, she has said. The mythical “The Goonies” or “Inside the Labyrinth” are films that marked her life.
He has praised the work of Nerea Torrijos, in charge of the creative team. She had “no experience as a photo model”, but Nerea Torrijos managed to bring out the “serious but kind side” of her, for the witch in white, and to convey “the rage” of the sorceress in black.
The advertising image is “very very cool”, has pointed out the natural actress from Basauri (Bizkaia). The actress has explained that when Torrijos conveyed her idea of ”duality” to her, she loved it. So she presents herself as an unfolded Itziar Ituño, luminous and merciful and implacable and dark.
The actress unfolds
“That duality” corresponds to his profession, because it allows him to “play” unfold and interpret more than one character and also with his character. “I’m a Gemini, so I carry it inside me,” Ituño said, with his splendid 49-year-old just turned.
Regarding his future work, he has commented that in a few months a series will be released for TVE entitled “Detective Touré”. It is now filming in Bilbao. It is a “thriller” with comedy in which she embodies “a pija and Indautxu”, a neighborhood in the Biscayan capital.
