Gamarra, after meeting with representatives of the primary sector, has added, in an informative conference, that the Government of Spain has subjected farmers and ranchers to “norms and rules that indicate and even demonize them.”
In Spain, Gamarra has indicated, “the countryside needs an Alberto Núñez Feijóo (PP candidate for the Presidency of the Government) who gives an agile and effective response to its problems because he cannot languish or die, but rather have life and he has to be strong ”.
For that, farmers and ranchers, he continued, need “a strong government that prioritizes the primary sector over ideology and that is the PP’s commitment” to the countryside.
Among the axes of the electoral program of the PP for agriculture and livestock, he has mentioned improving the operation of the law of the food chain, reviewing the strategic plan of the CAP, promoting generational renewal through direct aid, proposing taxation adapted to rural areas and restore the situation of the protection of the wolf.
Gamarra has lamented the damage that the wolf causes in livestock, as is the case in La Rioja, due to “a sectarian policy of Sánchez”.
In this regard, he has stressed that one of the measures proposed by Feijóo in his first hundred days in office, if he is elected president, is to remove the wolf populations from the north of the Duero from the List of Protected Species, as was established until before 2021.
