Pamplona (EFE).- Club Atlético Osasuna began a new preseason on Monday marked by the unknown of its participation in the Conference League, Jagoba Arrasate’s sixth season as coach of the current Cup runner-up.
The team led by Arrasate received on July 4 the notification by which UEFA left the Navarrese out of the third continental competition due to rigging in the 2013-2014 season. Osasuna made official its intention to go to the TAS, a decision for which they have 21 days, that is, until Tuesday, July 25. The end?, be in the draw on August 7.
With this untimely and disappointing situation for the club, the coach has put on his overalls to lead the first session of the summer. The team has left the main field of Tajonar around 10:00 am after having enjoyed the start of the Sanfermines.
The rojillos have begun preparing for the new season with the good taste of last season still on everyone’s mind. It will be difficult, but the illusion of repeating the great nights experienced this year is the goal set.
Adama Boiro, from Promises, under the orders of Arrasate
Today was the first day for José Arnaiz and Alejandro Catena together with their new teammates. The winger and center back, the only signings to date, have dressed in navy blue to complete a first light training session in which both Nacho Vidal and David García have worked out for their part.
Adama Boiro, Promises player, has been the only player from the second team to put himself under Arrasate’s orders. Osasuna has a hard week ahead with two days (Tuesday and Thursday) in which the work will be double, while Monday, Wednesday and Friday the team will do it with a single session.
The first week of work will end with the dispute of the first friendly against Osasuna Promises on Saturday, July 15, starting at 10 am, also in Tajonar. Sunday will be the only rest day for the team.
