Seville, (EFE).- A total of 12,767 students from Andalusia will be examined on July 11, 12 and 13 of the extraordinary call for the Baccalaureate Assessment Test for University Access (PEvAU), which represents a an increase of 21.8% in relation to last year, when 10,479 people did so.
It is the third time that the extraordinary test -carried out by students from Baccalaureate and Higher Level Vocational Training- is held in July. In order to advance the procedures for admission to universities, the Board has reported in a note.
Carrying out the PEvAU in July allows enrollment to take place during the first two weeks of September. What makes it possible for students to join classes from the beginning of the course, not during the first two weeks of October. Something that happened when the exams were held in September.
Same exam model
The province of Seville is the one that contributes the most students, 3,525 (3,048 from the University of Seville and 477 from Pablo de Olavide).
In Almería, 841 students will be examined; in Cádiz, 1,851; in Cordoba, 1,171; in Granada, 1,863; in Huelva, 710; in Jaén, 776, and in Malaga, 2,030.
In this edition the same exam model will also be developed as in the ordinary call test. A single proposal per subject, with a greater number of questions to choose from. In order for the student to achieve the maximum score in the test. Regardless of the circumstances that in this course they may have had for access to teaching and learning.
The structure of the evaluations is identical to that of the ordinary call and does not change with respect to previous courses either, since it will consist of two phases.
The Access Phase, which is compulsory to pass to enter the university, consists of three compulsory subjects: Spanish Language and Literature, a Foreign Language -German, French, English, Italian or Portuguese- and History of Spain.
Maximum note of 10 points
To these are added a fourth modality to choose between Fundamentals of Art, Latin II, Mathematics II or Mathematics Applied to the Social Sciences.
The maximum grade that can be achieved in this phase is ten points and the score obtained, together with the Bachillerato average, make up the access grade that will be calculated by weighting 40% of the PEvAU grade and 60% of the Baccalaureate qualification.
For its part, in the Admission Phase, which is voluntary to raise grades, students can be examined in up to four disciplines. Although only the note of the two most favorable for the chosen degree(s) will be computed.
In this extraordinary call, of the 12,767 enrolled, 5,889 Andalusian students attend both phases; 5,980 only to the specific phase and 898 students apply only to the access phase. EFE
