Madrid (EFE) , Pedro Sánchez, to “advance” the socialists and to govern “without intermediaries” -read without Vox- those of Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
On the first day of the campaign, in which it has been made public that Sánchez and Feijóo will have 100 minutes face-to-face on Monday at Atresmedia to discuss the economy, social policy and equality, pacts and governance and State, institutional and internationally, voters have been able to learn about the PSOE and Vox programs and their radically antagonistic proposals.
Votes to move forward vs. to change
“I humbly ask those who have always voted for the PSOE to vote for the PSOE,” said Sánchez, who continued to expand his request, because “in this contest we need much more support”: “with all due respect to other political parties, I ask for the vote from rural and urban Spain, to those who voted for other political options, to those who voted for the PP and feel ashamed of Feijóo’s pacts with Abascal”.
In addition to repeating his simile of the “trailer of the dark movie” by PP and Vox, Sánchez has confessed “every day more convinced” that 23J “will win the future and lose the past, will win the advance and lose the setback”.
The Socialists are sure that these messages are permeating the electorate and sources from Ferraz have indicated that internal studies reveal that they now have 67% of voters mobilized, against a PP that is “reaching its ceiling”.
Feijoo, in Seville
In the PP, which has suspended its campaign in Aragon in solidarity with those affected by the storm and floods yesterday, its candidate for La Moncloa, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has taken advantage of his presence in Seville to say that he aspires “to the same majority ” -absolute- that Juanma Moreno has in Andalusia to govern “without intermediaries or conditions”.
“The loneliness of the vast majority of the votes is the best company” to govern, has recognized the four times winner by the absolute in Galicia, who has asked “that no one who wants change is left without voting so that Spain is left without change ”.
Criticizing some of the measures of the coalition government, Núñez Feijóo has also declared that he considers it “a scandal” that the founder of Inditex, Amancio Ortega, is paid for “the cinema on Tuesdays” or the commuter trains to the president of Mercadona. , Juan Roig, cases that he has put as examples of “pockets of inefficiency” in public spending.
Sumar’s “battle”
For her part, Sumar’s candidate, Yolanda Díaz, has published a video on Twitter in which she affirms: “Ours is a fight for life and we are not going to leave it in the hands of those who believe that the country belongs to them, those who want to take us back to the past.”
“Faced with them, we are going to continue advancing, to make a better, safer, freer, fuller life. To continue building a country that cares for its people. This battle is about your life, it is about our lives, and we are going to win it”, Díaz proclaimed, while the head of the list of Sumar-En Comú Podem to the Congress for Barcelona, Aina Vidal, has defended a referendum in Catalonia as ” horizon”, but has ruled it out in the short term.
divergent programs
The program that the PSOE has presented this Friday includes totally free university and FP fees for students who pass the first time, free public transport up to 24 years of age and building 183,000 public rental homes -half of them for young people -, among other proposals.
In turn, the one from Vox proposes repealing the laws on abortion, euthanasia and gender violence, as well as eliminating the Ministry of Equality and ending the “artificial borders” created by the autonomous communities -in several of which form part of the government
Also on this first day of the campaign, fifteen extra-parliamentary formations, among which are the animalist party Pacma or Recortes Cero, have come together to demand “The Citizen’s Right to Know”, a campaign with which they demand from the media “a democratic treatment” and “proportionality” for 23J, “both in the coverage, as well as in the debates and interviews”.
Second day of campaign
For this Saturday, the socialist candidate does not plan campaign events to be able to prepare the face-to-face on Monday and Núñez Feijóo, who has precisely ironized that perhaps Sánchez “has difficulties” to prepare it or “does not have the facility to explain the inexplicable”, will be in Zamora.
The Vox candidate, Santiago Abascal, will move his electoral caravan to Zaragoza and Yolanda Díaz will be in Valencia and Castellón.
