Castelldefels (Barcelona) (EFE).- The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has called on the Catalans and the Spaniards to unite to enable a government alone and without “intermediaries” in which the president can govern for all, without pay “commission” for support, as the popular intends to achieve on July 23.
At the start of the campaign, which officially begins at midnight, Feijóo has gathered a thousand people, according to the PP’s calculations, in a square in Castelldefels (Barcelona) where he has shared a rally with the head of the Congress list for Barcelona, Nacho Martín, and the leader of the Catalan PP, Alejandro Fernández.
Feijóo has appealed to the “broad majority of citizens”, who, he says, share his approach and specifically to those of the PSOE who stood up to the independence movement and said no to the Ibarretxe Plan counting on the PP, an episode that occurred in José’s stage Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
Feijóo to Vox voters: Don’t let your ballot get lost in other ways
He has also specifically addressed Vox voters to tell them that they need a “solid government and that their ballot becomes an electoral victory and that they do not lose themselves in other ways.”
“The only ballot that certifies the end of Sanchismo is the Popular Party ballot,” Feijóo also exclaimed, recalling that he defends the proposal that the most voted party govern since he joined his party and spoke of “fairly winning the elections”.
Feijóo has compared the need to start a new stage on 23J with the change of government that the socialist Felipe González achieved in 1982 and has asked to “turn the page on sanchismo”, which he sees in his “last days”.
Because according to the PP candidate, Spain is going to say “it’s over” to all the “lies” of the current Prime Minister, such as the pardons for the pro-independence leaders, to “botch jobs” such as the reduction of sentences for 1,115 sexual offenders or the “division” of a government that is like a “soap opera” and “bad”.
He has also called for an end to the “demoscopic lie” of the CIS, currently led by Félix Tezanos, who, he has exclaimed, will cease.
