Logroño, (EFE).- The former councilor from Logroño Ángel Sáinz Yangüela, the regional deputy Jesús Angel Garrido and the former MEP Esther Herranz are some of the ten new general directors that the Government of La Rioja has appointed this Monday, its spokesperson, Alfonso, has detailed Dominguez.
These are people with “technical competence, experience in management and capacity for work”, added Domínguez in an information conference to publicize some of the appointments agreed to for the second level of the new regional government.
Sáinz Yangüela, who was a popular councilor for Logroño in the last legislature, will be the general director of Public Function; the people’s deputy Jesús Ángel Garrido, who will leave his minutes in the autonomous Parliament, will assume that of Tributes; and Herranz that of European Funds and the Office in Brussels.
It has also been agreed to keep the previous general directors Guillermo Bravo, in Budgetary Control; Gonzalo Aparicio in Humanization, Benefits and Pharmacy; and María Jesús Miñana in Agriculture and Livestock.
The General Directorate of Social Services will be held by Marta Gómez; Tourism, Virginia Borges; that of Sports, Diego Azcona; and that of Territorial Policy, Carlos Alonso.
The government spokesman specified that these appointments took place this Monday due to the “immediacy” required by their areas of management and, in the coming days, the rest of the Executive structure, which took office yesterday, Sunday, will be completed.
On the other hand, he has stressed that the space dedicated to reporting on the affairs of the Governing Council will be used solely to communicate the action of the Executive, which will flee from using it to “do politics”, since, for this, there are other places in this regard. like Parliament.
