Madrid (EFE).- Overnight stays in non-hotel accommodation (apartments, campgrounds, rural houses and hostels) grew by 7.2% in May to reach 10.4 million, which exceeds the figures for the same month of 2019, before of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the figures published this Monday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), between January and May non-hotel overnight stays increased by 13.8% from the same period of the previous year and also above the same period of 2019.
The average stay in May, indicates the INE, is 3.8 overnight stays per traveler.
