London (EFE).- The Swiss Roger Federer, who will not travel to Wimbledon for the first time in more than two decades, appeared by surprise at a Coldplay concert to perform a song with the British group.
Federer, retired since the end of last year, took the stage in Zurich (Switzerland), along with Chris Martin and his family to perform the song “Don’t Panic” from the album “Parachutes”.
The Helvetian was accompanied by his wife, Mirka, backstage at the concert, where he was photographed with the members of the British band, who are on tour for their latest album “Music of the Spheres”.
This is the last public appearance of Federer, who in recent days dropped by Halle, to receive a tribute from a tournament that he has won ten times, and by London, where he inaugurated a couple of tennis courts and rallied with the princess of wales
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the Basel’s first win at Wimbledon, against Australian Mark Philippousis, as Novak Djokovic can equal his record of ten All England Club titles.
