Murcia, June 30 (EFE).- A 42-year-old woman has suffered very serious injuries from a knife when she was stabbed by her 28-year-old partner at the family home, located in the Murcian district of Javalí Viejo, has informed EFE this Friday the National Police.
The attack, which is being investigated as a case of sexist violence by the family and women’s unit of the Murcia Police Headquarters, occurred for unknown reasons around 8:45 p.m. yesterday, Thursday, and was witnessed by a relative of the woman who came to the house during the fight and mediated between them.
The victim, who is in the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital in Murcia, was seriously injured and during the struggle injured her assailant, who was also hospitalized in that center and remains in police custody.
According to the sources, there is no evidence so far that there are previous complaints of sexist violence against the detainee.
