Santander (EFE).- María José Sáenz de Buruaga (PP) has assured, in her inauguration speech as president of Cantabria, that she is going to create a government focused on the economy and health that, in order to reach agreements, will dialogue “with everyone”, without “vetoes or exclusions”.
“I am not going to tremble when it comes to making decisions and changing what needs to be changed, but I will always do it through dialogue and good sense, with my only guide: to give the Cantabrians a better life,” the PP leader promised. in an intervention of an hour and a quarter.
The “dialogue” legislature
The future president of Cantabria, who will presumably be sworn in on Monday by a simple majority as she does not have the necessary absolute majority in the Chamber, has stressed that she will lead a minority Executive that, in addition to being “the one for change” that the Cantabrians demanded in the polls, is also “the one of dialogue”.
His first announcement before the 35 deputies of the PP, PRC, PSOE and Vox has been a general lowering of taxes, because he considers that “there has never been a more advantageous context.”
“A very sanitary profile”
Buruaga, who between 2011 and 2015 was Health Minister in a PP government with an absolute majority, has also assured that she will be a president “with a very health profile.”
He has indicated that with her at the head of the Executive, “austerity” and “transparency” will prevail, and “she will be implacable with any hint of corruption.”
He trusts that, from the general elections of 23J, a Government of Spain led by the PP will come out to claim “the pending commitments” with the autonomous community to achieve their “real and effective compliance”.
“I am not going to attend as a mere observer the repeated breaches of the central government in terms of infrastructure,” María José Sáenz de Buruaga added.
It has also guaranteed that its Executive of Cantabria will be “demanding” and will continue to defend the control of the wolf population in the region.
