Madrid (EFE) popular governments “regardless of their role in the investiture.”
This was indicated to Efe by sources from the Popular Party after Abascal revealed this Wednesday in an interview with TVE that he spoke with Feijóo after his candidate in Extremadura refused to introduce Vox into his Government.
According to the same popular sources, Feijóo and Abascal have had “a couple of specific contacts in recent weeks”, and the popular president has urged the Vox president to “facilitate the governments of change and not block them.”
The territorial teams are now working, they also point out from the national leadership of the PP, which has given autonomy to its barons to reach agreements after the regional elections on May 28.
Vox admits “exceptions”
Abascal has said today that perhaps there may be some “exceptions” in his claim to enter the governments together with the PP, although he sees it as normal to be where it is possible to form an alternative. Vox asks, for example, to enter the Executives of the Region of Murcia or Extremadura.
To this day, the negotiation of PP and Vox is still open in four autonomies. Both in Aragon and in the Balearic Islands -in the islands the popular ones advance alone to the left-, the PP has given this party the presidency of the autonomous parliaments and aspires to govern alone with the external support of those of Abascal.
In addition, in the Region of Murcia, the PP wants Vox to allow a monocolor Executive of Fernando López Miras through an investiture agreement because the popular ones were only two seats short of the absolute majority.
In Extremadura, the PP and Vox seek to redirect the situation, once María Guardiola has defended that a programmatic agreement with Vox is “essential”, to which she has expressed her respect after days of strong criticism for denying sexist violence or dehumanizing the migrants.
