Madrid (EFE).- Renfe has extended the contract with CAF for the supply of another 32 medium-distance electric trains for 190 million euros, bringing the total contract to 60 new state-of-the-art trains.
The company’s Board of Directors, meeting this Tuesday, has agreed to this extension of the contract awarded last October, sources close to the governing body have reported.
These contracts are part of the Renfe Fleet Renewal Plan, with a global investment of 4,509 million euros for the purchase of 436 new trains, the remodeling of another 57 and the manufacture of 50 locomotives.
