Elche (Alicante), June 27 (EFE).- Elche announced this Tuesday that it has reached an agreement to transfer Tenerife midfielder Omar Mascarell to Real Mallorca.
The club, which has not given details of the amount of the transfer, thanks the player in a statement for his “work, dedication and commitment” during his time at Elche and wishes him “luck” in his personal and professional career.
Omar Mascarell arrived at the Elche club in the summer of 2021 from Schalke 04 and in his first season he played 32 games for Elche, being a key part of the good season for the Elche team.
The player renewed his contract last summer, although an exit clause was kept in the event of relegation. This last season he played 28 games, since the final stretch of the competition he was left out of the team due to injury.
Elche loses another of the pillars of recent seasons after the already known departures of Helibelton Palacios, Gonzalo Verdú and the more than likely Gerard Gumbau.
