Madrid, (EFE).- Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) has urged the PP to stop using the “Verano Azul” brand, with which it intends to name its electoral campaign this 23J, at the same time that it has told it to desist from your application for registration at the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM).
RTVE has also warned that, if these requirements are not met, it reserves the right to take legal action, as indicated in a statement this Friday.
These petitions come after the Corporation learned that this Thursday the Popular Party filed an application for registration of the “VERANO AZUL PP” trademark at the SPTO.
In the same statement, RTVE has informed that the PP has already been informed that the Corporation is the owner of the word mark “VERANO AZUL”, so that said application for registration by the popular would be violating what is stipulated in the Article 6 of the Trademark Law 17/2001.
Precisely this Thursday the PP campaign spokesman, Borja Sémper, presented barefoot on the sand, in a sports center in Madrid, the popular campaign for these general elections between blue umbrellas and with the slogan “Blue Summer”.
