Madrid (EFE).- SCF, the majority union in the circulation group, has called 24-hour strikes in Adif for eight days in July, marked by the holiday period, to denounce the lack of personnel and the consequent danger that supposes for the security in the circulation of the trains.
Specifically, the strike has been called for July 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27, as indicated by the union, which indicates that they have avoided strikes at the beginning and end of fortnights, as well such as weekends to affect rail users as little as possible.
SCF has pointed out that Adif and Adif Alta Velocidad workers are affected by endless breaches by the public entity, which has not respected the clauses of its collective agreement, which will expire at the end of the year.
The result of this, he added in a statement, are the “systematic violations” of the service graphs, which is leading to an “indiscriminate” closure of dependencies and the reduction of service personnel in those work centers where they work their longest hours. of one worker per shift, with the consequent loss of jobs.
In addition, it has pointed out that the company is merging regulation bands in charge of the same agent, with the consequent danger that it poses for the safety of train circulation.
In this sense, he explained that the same traffic manager is being placed in charge of physically separated regulation bands, with the danger of not having the band he regulates in the operator’s field of vision.
In this regard, SCF maintains that a single regulation band can control up to ten stations in charge of a single worker.
traffic safety
All of this, the union of railway controllers has denounced, fails to comply with the risk management that it implies for traffic safety, based on planning procedures and maximum control activity times.
Likewise, it has pointed out that the public entity also fails to comply with the principles contained in the “Declaration of the European railway safety culture” regarding the sanctioning regime despite having signed it.
In addition, it does not take into account another clause that affects the need to carry out a new professional ordination. According to the union, the current one is from 1993 and is out of date, so much so that it does not even recognize the holidays that the staff works.
For all these reasons, the railway controllers have called eight days of 24-hour strikes in Adif during the month of July.
