Oviedo (EFE).- The elected deputy of Podemos, Covadonga Tomé, has summoned this Wednesday the socialist candidate for the Presidency, Adrián Barbón, to work together with the IU and the purple formation to form a stable and progressive government that has the support of the 23 deputies that add up and away from “Vox’s allies”.
At a press conference, Tomé regretted that up to now “three gentlemen” are negotiating the composition of the Board of the General Meeting, which will be constituted next Monday, and that of the future Executive without, so far, not even the FSA- Neither PSOE nor IU have maintained any formal contact with Podemos.
In his opinion, the pact reached in Gijón between Foro, PP and Vox supposes, despite the assertions to the contrary by the Forum general secretary, Adrián Pumares, a change in the line followed by a party that until a few months ago claimed not to have ” nothing” to agree with the formation led by Santiago Abascal.
For Tomé, if Barbón assumes the position expressed by Pumares, he will be “relying on Vox partners” with which “indirectly” he would be opening the door in the institutions for which he has been summoned not to commit that “irresponsibility ” and to take advantage of the possibility of having a “stable, progressive government with the support of 23 deputies”.
The citizen assembly will decide the investiture vote
In addition, he has questioned the attitude of the IU, having already begun to negotiate with the Socialists the composition of the Board of the Board and his possible entry into the Government “turning his back” on the partners with whom he is running for the 23J elections in Add platform.
“Everyone is forgetting the essence of their own parties: Foro when agreeing with Vox, Barbón when sitting down to talk with Foro after his pact with Vox, and Izquierda Unida when it turns its back on its fellow travelers,” he added.
Thus, he has summoned both the candidate for the Presidency and the leader of the IU, Ovidio Zapico, to act “honestly” and stop trying to design a government “in his image and likeness and defending his interests, not those of his voters nor those of of Asturias”.
The purple parliamentarian has also advanced that this week or at the beginning of next week a meeting of the Podemos Citizen Assembly will be convened that will decide on her vote in the investiture session, although the party’s interim coordinator, Rafael Palacios, has already advanced that in no case will enable the election of the PP candidate.
“Surprise” for the departure of Cofiño from the Government
The head of the popular list, Diego Canga, has announced that he will attend the investiture in which he could have up to 21 supports -17 from the PP and 4 from Vox- since Foro has already ruled out that possibility while Barbón has guaranteed the 22 that add up to the 19 socialist deputies and the three from the IU who pledged their support without compensation.
On the other hand, Tomé has considered “surprising due to the specific weight that it had in the previous government” the departure of the vice president, Juan Cofiño, to run for the Presidency of the General Meeting, a decision that, in his opinion, “in some way It is an assignment to the demands of the IU” which, like Podemos, had questioned a good part of its management.
