Dos Hermanas (Seville) (EFE).- The President of the Government and PSOE General Secretary, Pedro Sánchez, today gave the go-ahead to the 23J socialist pre-campaign with an act in Dos Hermanas (Seville) where he called the concentration of the progressive vote in his party because, as he has said, at the polls it will be decided between “the PSOE ballot or the paper” of a PP government with Vox.
“If progressive Spain mobilizes and concentrates all its efforts on the PSOE, we will guarantee that Spain continues to grow for four more years,” said the leader of the Socialists, who encouraged people to vote on July 23.
He has assured that the lesson of the last regional and municipal elections is that the union of the votes around the PSOE is necessary, which will guarantee that Spain continues to grow and does not go backwards with a Government of Feijóo and Abascal ”.
“You have to go out and vote en masse on 23J, with the conviction that we are going to win, that we are going to be the first political force, because we have a project, arguments and a team,” he added.
The PSOE strategy
The concentration of the vote of the left is the first of the axes of the strategy of the PSOE to little more than a month for the general elections.
The second, the direct duel with the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
Sánchez recalled that two weeks ago he already summoned the president of the popular to debate with him. “The response has been excuses, because he does not want to debate and does not know how to explain his pacts with the ultra-right,” he remarked.
One month before the elections, he insisted, the economic project is not known and neither is the future minister of the PP branch, nor the rest of the ministers “except for the aspiring vice president who is Santiago Abascal.”
With “stronger than ever”
In Sánchez’s opinion, the opposition leader is wrong because democracy is debates and not “monologues” and therefore “anyone who does not want to debate does not deserve the trust of citizens.”
In an enclave of special significance for him, since it was in Dos Hermanas where in January 2017 he announced that he would run in the primaries to recover the General Secretariat of the PSOE, he has assured that the trip has been worth it and has proclaimed that he has ” more strength than ever” and “more desire than ever to win the elections.”
“Here, in Dos Hermanas, where this wonderful adventure began, I tell you that I am not willing for this trip to end here, Spain does not deserve it,” he assured before 3,500 people, according to the organizers.
