Madrid (EFE) there is no closed deal.
Some of the pacts of this Thursday have been signed by PP and Vox, as is the case of Burgos, Toledo, Villaviciosa de Odón (Madrid), Marratxí (Balearic Islands) or Miguelturra (Ciudad Real), but there have also been agreements between the Socialists and More Madrid (Alcorcón, Madrid), JxCat and the PSOE (La Garriga, Barcelona) and even among the popular and the socialists (Teror, Las Palmas).
On the contrary, in Barcelona, Ourense, Vitoria, Palma de Mallorca, Valladolid, Jaén, Guadalajara, Cáceres, Pamplona and Girona, negotiations are still open for the moment.
In addition, in Castilla-La Mancha, the PP has rejected the PSOE’s offer to govern the list with the most votes to prevent Vox from entering the governments of six towns in the community: Ciudad Real, Albacete, Puertollano, Toledo, Talavera de La Reina (Toledo) and Guadalajara.
Burgos
The Popular Party and Vox have signed this Thursday the coalition government agreement for the Burgos City Council, through which the popular candidate Cristina Ayala will become the first female mayor in the city’s history on Saturday.
Vox will manage at least three departments, including Citizen Security and Culture.
Toledo
After 16 years of socialist governments in the capital of Castilla-La Mancha, the formations of Feijóo and Abascal have reached an agreement in Toledo, where they will form a “solid, stable and lasting” coalition government.
Thus, Vox will join the local government and will assume “certain management areas” that have not been detailed.
Palencia
The PSOE will govern the Palencia City Council in a minority, where after Vamos Palencia has announced this Thursday that it will abstain in the vote on Saturday, the socialist Miriam Andrés will become the first mayor of Palencia.
Agreements in municipalities that are not provincial capitals
-Alcorcón (Madrid): The PSOE and Más Madrid have announced this Thursday that they have formalized a pre-agreement in Alcorcón to achieve “a progressive government” that exceeds the relative majority obtained by the PP on 28M, although inclusion in the Ganar pact would be missing Alcorcón, with whom negotiations continue.
-Villaviciosa de Odón (Madrid): The popular and Vox have reached an agreement in Villaviciosa de Odón to govern for the next four years, so the PP candidate thus guarantees his investiture as mayor on Saturday by adding both formations absolute majority.
-Teror (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria): In the Teror City Council, the PP and the PSOE have signed an agreement to govern in the City Council until 2027 with an agreement to alternate the Mayor’s Office and the objective that “dialogue and responsibility”.
-Miguelturra (Ciudad Real): After 44 years of socialist mayors, the Popular Party will govern the Miguelturra City Council thanks to an agreement with Vox and Miguelturra Citizen Dignity.
-La Garriga (Barcelona): The former advisor to the Presidency of the Government Meritxell Budó, from JxCat, has reached an agreement with the PSC to govern together in La Garriga (Barcelona).
-Olivenza (Badajoz): United by Olivenza-IU and PSOE have reached an agreement that will allow the socialist candidate to continue as mayor.
Agreements in town halls of Palma
-Marratxí (Palma): PP and Vox have also reached a municipal government agreement in Marratxí, where the popular will preside over the Consistory.
-Muro (Palma): The candidate of the regionalist party El Pi will be sworn in as mayor of Muro next Saturday thanks to his pact with Unió Independents Muro (UIM) and the PP.
-Sant Llorenç des Cardassar (Palma): The PP will govern the Sant Llorenç des Cardassar Town Hall in coalition after reaching a government agreement with People for Sa Coma, Cala Millor, S’Illot-El Pi and Unió Indepedent Carrionera.
Last minute of negotiations
-In Barcelona, the popular have reached out to the PSOE to negotiate if they agree to leave the current mayoress, Ada Colau, out of the county government.
-Jaén: The PSOE has offered to govern Jaén Deserves More -which has the key to the executive- to avoid a PP mayoralty, but the provincialist party has not yet ruled.
-In Ourense, the Popular Party has sent the PSdeG and the BNG a proposal to support their candidate and prevent the independent Gonzalo Pérez Jácome, from Democracia Ourensana (DO), from remaining in the mayoralty.
But the city council could be left this Saturday without an act of investiture due to the appeal presented by Pérez Jácome’s party, related to alleged irregularities in the count of 62 votes at a table in the city.
-In Cáceres, Vox has assured that the PP has rejected its offer to enter the local government, so it seems likely that the popular ones, after the second round, will govern in a minority.
-In La Guardia (Toledo), where on Wednesday Podemos assured that he would agree with the PP, the municipal candidate of the purple formation has defended that his government agreement with the popular is “totally legitimate” since in the campaign he has promised “until satiety” that the PSOE was not going to govern with its votes.
