Madrid (EFE) July 14.
The current councilor-elect of La Laguna (Tenerife) and former deputy of Podemos will compete with the rapper El Chojín, the tiktoker and singer Víctor Pérez, the ex-boxer Joana Pastrana, the writer Fiona Ferrer, the former referee and commentator Cristóbal Soria, the actor and screenwriter Antón Lofer, the model Ángela Ponce, the ‘influencer’ Alba Paul and the journalist Susana Yábar.
“Time Zone” is a format with video game aesthetics and language produced by Zeppelin (Banijay Iberia), in which ten famous participants will try to beat the “Master of Time”, embodied by the eSports presenter and streamer Cristinini ( Christina Lopez).
The game takes place in immense abandoned facilities where “an extreme competition full of challenges” takes place, games of mental and physical ability in inhospitable settings, with sandstorms or smoke screens, according to the platform in a statement.
The central elements of the program are the so-called “time zones”, circles where time stops when the players are inside them and are reactivated when they leave.
In each of the eight levels/programs, the player with the least accumulated time on their timer will be eliminated and the one who reaches the final will face the Master of Time in a final duel.
Alberto Rodríguez is not the first politician to participate in television entertainment programs.
Juan Carlos Monedero, co-founder of Podemos, attended Telecinco’s “Pasapalabra” in 2018 and the former president of the Community of Madrid Esperanza Aguirre participated in that same program before launching into singing disguised as a butterfly on Antena 3’s “Mask Singer” and cooking on Prime Video’s “Celebrity Bake off.”
Celia Villalobos (PP), former mayor of Malaga and former Minister of Health, fully immersed herself in “MasterChef Celebrity 5” in 2020, the same program in which the current Madrid president Isabel Díaz Ayuso made a special appearance last Christmas.
“Time Zone” marks the second foray of HBO Max Spain into entertainment programs after the launch of “Traitors” last November, a program that featured another former Madrid president, Cristina Cifuentes. EFE
