València (EFE) the Vox candidate for the presidency of the Generalitat on 28M, Carlos Flores Juberías.
The first official meeting between the two parties after the May elections occurs one day after the PP campaign spokesman, Borja Sémper, stated that a person convicted of sexist violence “should not dedicate himself to politics” -Carlos Flores was in 2002 for psychological violence, coercion, insults and harassment against his ex-wife.
For his part, the Vice-Secretary for Organization of the PPCV, Juan Francisco Pérez Llorca, after being asked this Monday whether the main obstacle to agreeing with Vox would be the presence of Flores in the future Valencian Government, replied: “The Popular Party has not vetoed to nobody”.
Vox closes the round of meetings with all the political forces of Les Corts
This Tuesday’s meeting closes the round of meetings that the party that won the regional elections in the Valencian Community has held with the formations that obtained representation in Les Corts, in which both the PSPV-PSOE and Compromís have informed it that they will vote against the investiture of Mazón.
The 40 deputies that the PP obtained in the 28M elections leave it 10 seats short of an absolute majority in Les Corts, which it could achieve with the support of Vox, which obtained 13 deputies, against an opposition that totals 46 votes (31 on PSPV-PSOE and 15 Commitments).
Participating in the meeting on Tuesday on behalf of the PPCV are the president of the party, Carlos Mazón; the regional coordinator, Juan Francisco Pérez Llorca; and the director of the electoral campaign, Miguel Barrachina; and on behalf of Vox Carlos Flores, the national deputy Ignacio Gil Lázaro and the former bullfighter Vicente Barrera, who appeared on the Vox lists of the Valencia City Council.
