QUESTION: Define your city in one sentence.
ANSWER: I would like us to define Castelló as ‘The city where we all want to live’, but for now I would define it as ‘Our place in the world’, which is not a small thing.
Q: If you win and become mayor your first move would be… .
A: It has been decided by the citizens through a participatory process carried out by Compromís for Castelló, and in fact they have chosen the first ten measures. Health needs a new impetus. We want to make a Pla Edificant in the city’s offices, so that they are friendly and renovated spaces. And that the rhythm in the construction of a new General University Hospital of Castelló, with rooms for individual use, will not be lost.
Q: Three words with which you would like to define your city at the end of your term.
A: A Castelló of rights and opportunities. Castelló because of his people and because it is that place where we want to live; a city of rights because these make us a welcoming, diverse, habitable space; and opportunities because this means that we are a fair city with a future.
Q: What series would you like to see filmed in your city?
A: A youth series set in the new Grao comprehensive vocational training center, where their ‘love affairs’ will be mixed with classes at the port, partying in Castelló, hiking in the Desert de les Palmes and cycling along the new greenway of the marsh A series like ‘Merlí’, which, in addition to human passions, will deal with the social, economic and environmental realities that we are experiencing.
Networks
Q: Are you an active person on social networks? Which do you prefer?
A: I’m on Twitter and Facebook, but especially on Instagram. Many people are interested through this channel in what we do Compromís, it is the most direct network and where there are more users. My messages are fuming these weeks with people who ask us for detailed information on the proposals we make and who support us.
Q: What is your favorite part of the campaign? What do you feel like most about these weeks?
A: Being with people, without a doubt. Our maxim in governments has always been to keep in touch with the concerns of the neighborhood outside the electoral period and I think we have done so. Being in the streets and squares is our identity, and seeing how people get involved with the project convinced of the work done and with the hope of continuing to improve the city and the lives of the people of Castelló.
