Logroño, (EFE).- The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, assured this Saturday that “La Rioja will never be treated as a second-class or border community” when he is president of the Government of Spain.
Nuñez Feijóo has intervened in a public act in Logroño, which was attended by a thousand people, along with the general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra from La Rioja, and the popular candidates for the Presidency of the Government of La Rioja, Gonzalo Capellán; and the Mayor of Logroño, Conrado Escobar.
He has said that the Rioja Qualified Denomination of Origin (DOCa) “will continue to be what it is: a benchmark brand in all of Spain that no one should use politically, because it is what producers, small and large winemakers, and people from La Rioja want, and the PP is going to defend it”.
He has refused to use State resources, such as the Falcon, to attend the rallies and has specified that he has arrived in Logroño on the Soria highway, accompanied by Gamarra, who has detailed each La Rioja town through which they have passed.
In addition, he has alluded to the fact that some jokes and memes are circulating about the fact that Chaplain looks like Feijóo, who has recognized that he is younger, but has pointed out that he has more experience.
The change begins in La Rioja
For his part, Gamarra has predicted that the political change will have a first part on May 28 in La Rioja, “but also that change, passing through La Rioja, will make Alberto the next president of the Government of Spain.”
He has highlighted that there are 15 days left to achieve that political change that “excites a great majority of La Riojans” and that “the resignation is over”, for this reason he has appealed to those who are “tired of noise and tension”.
“La Rioja is a land that does not resign itself, we are going to say it loud and clear to Sanchismo. On May 28 we chose between a good government or sanchismo, between PP or sanchismo. Any vote that does not go to the PP will be the one that benefits Sánchez, who will benefit from each vote that is dispersed ”, he assured.
