Los Angeles (USA), (EFE).- Real Madrid and Barcelona will play a preseason friendly match on July 29 in Dallas (USA).
After their friendly last year in Las Vegas (USA), which ended with a 1-0 victory for Barca, the classic will return to American soil.
The match will be part of the ‘Soccer Champions Tour’, an initiative that will bring some of the best teams in the world to the North American country.
Real Madrid and Barcelona in the US
Along with Real Madrid and Barcelona, Juventus, Milan, Arsenal and Manchester United will also participate in this tour.
The classic will be played at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, with capacity for 80,000 spectators (expandable to 100,000).
This is where the Dallas Cowboys usually play their NFL games.
The white team will play another three friendlies in the US: on July 23 against Milan at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena (Los Angeles), on July 26 against Manchester United at the NRG Stadium in Houston and on August 2 against Juventus at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
Barcelona tour
Barcelona will face Juventus on July 22 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara (San Francisco).
They will then face Arsenal on July 26 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and close out their American trip on August 1 against Milan at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The only match on the ‘Soccer Champions Tour’ without Spanish representatives will be played on July 27 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson (Los Angeles) between Juventus and Milan.
The investment fund Sixth Street and the entertainment giant AEG are behind the ‘Soccer Champions Tour’.
Alan Waxman, co-founder and CEO of Sixth Street, said in a statement that they are “proud to partner” with some of the most celebrated clubs in the world.
The goal of the tour is to “provide this unique opportunity for American fans to experience soccer at the highest level.”
