Washington, (EFE).- The head of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, underlined this Friday at the White House before the President of the United States, Joe Biden, the “excellent” bilateral relationship that the two countries maintain: “We are allies, friends ”, he stressed.
Sánchez also highlighted the “common values” that unite Spain and the United States from his meeting with the US president in the Oval Office.
A meeting in which, among other issues, aid to Ukraine and migration agreements will be addressed, as well as the next rotating Presidency of the EU. After the meeting, Sánchez will appear before journalists to give an account of the details of his conversation with the US president.
Biden thanks Sánchez for his support with Ukraine and migrants
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, expressed his gratitude for the support that Spain is giving to Ukraine and for the agreement reached to receive migrants.
“Together we help Ukraine, I can’t thank you enough,” Biden said, addressing Sánchez at the beginning of their meeting in the Oval Office of the White House and in the presence of the media.
Biden also stressed that he and Sánchez have “a lot to talk about” at this meeting. A meeting that shows the good moment that the bilateral relationship is going through with similar views on the war in Ukraine and the role of NATO, as well as agreements on migration to deal with the crisis that the American continent is going through.
