Ourense (EFE) .
In the recordings, released by La Región and attributed to the mayor, he talks about “the way to obtain money” from concessions and fines, which for the PSOE, which was the one that made the complaint, deduces the typical elements of prevarication administration, influence peddling, bribery and embezzlement.
The mayor of Ourense says he is a “victim”
As indicated at a press conference by the councilor, leader of the Democracia Ourensana (DO) formation and candidate for his re-election, everything is part of a strategy to prevent his formation from repeating as head of the mayor’s office and for this reason he has insisted that his party is “victim” of an offensive of “harassment and demolition”.
This has been stated in an extensive appearance in which he avoided commenting on the content of the audio recordings and has focused on denouncing “very serious espionage” after his suspicions that “hidden microphones” were placed in his office.
“How can you eat that they have audios from different times and they release them all in the electoral campaign?” Jácome snapped, who has attacked the media that have disseminated the audios: La Región and La Voz de Galicia.
The recordings are the work of a “mafia”, according to Jácome
In his opinion, the recordings are the work of a “mafia” that involves companies, the media and political parties, especially the PP, he has made explicit.
To demonstrate his thesis, he has indicated that he comes from the sound sector and has not hesitated to show as an example several audios with his voice “cut and manipulated”, a job “by professionals, which I estimate will have cost between 200,000 and 300,000 euros” , has apostilled.
However, and despite suspecting that the PSOE and especially the PP are behind all this, he has not hesitated to ensure that in the face of the 28M municipal elections he does not rule out reissuing a pact with the leader of the popular, José Manuel Baltar, in the case of needing it: “I would agree with the devil if with it I get heaven for Ourense”.
He has also been convinced that all this not only will not subtract votes but also aspires to achieve an absolute majority.
The BNG also presented the matter before the Prosecutor’s Office for considering the content of the Orense councilor’s conversations to be “serious”.
