Madrid (EFE) the ecological transition.
In total, the swamps store 27,417 cubic hectometres (hm³) of water, 406 cubic hectometres (0.7% of their total capacity) less than seven days ago.
The reserve also decreases with respect to 2022
The water reserve also falls compared to the same week of 2022, when it was 50.7%; and with respect to the average of the last ten years, which exceeds 68%.
According to data provided by the Ministry for Ecological Transition, in the last week, rainfall affected the Atlantic slope and was scarce on the Mediterranean slope. The maximum was produced in Vigo, with 44.6 mm (44.6 l/m²).
Leading the basins most affected by the drought are Guadalquivir, in which the reserve drops from 24.5 to 24.4%; internal basins of Catalonia, where it rises from 25.4 to 25.6%; and Guadalete-Barbate, in which it fell from 29.1 to 26.8%.
The most “full” reservoirs continue to be those of Galicia Costa, despite the fact that they drop from 85.4 to 84.5%; Eastern Cantabrian, where it falls from 82.2 to 80.8% of its capacity; and Western Cantabrian, in which the dammed water increased from 80.4 to 82.2% of its capacity.
