Los Angeles (USA) (EFE).- Jaren Jackson Jr. (Memphis Grizzlies), Brook Lopez (Milwaukee Bucks), Evan Mobley (Cleveland Cavaliers), Alex Caruso (Chicago Bulls) and Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee Bucks) make up the best defensive quintet this season in the NBA, the league announced.
In the second best team in defense are Bam Adebayo (Chicago Bulls), OG Anunoby (Toronto Raptors), Dillon Brooks (Memphis Grizzlies), Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors) and Derrick White (Boston Celtics).
The end-of-season awards in the NBA are decided based on the votes of one hundred journalists who follow the league.
The best defensive team in the NBA
Jackson Jr., chosen in mid-April as the best defensive player of the year ahead of Lopez and Mobley, also repeated this time as the most voted with 195 points and 96 elections for the first team.
Holiday earned 192 points with 94 votes for the All-Defensive Team.
For their part, both Mobley and Caruso received their first selection this year in the best defensive teams in the NBA.
White, Brooks and Anunoby, all of them in the second best quintet, also made their debut in these recognitions.
Among those who also received votes but were left out of the awards, names such as Marcus Smart (Boston Celtics), who in 2022 was named the best defender in the NBA, or Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) stand out.
