Almería, (EFE).- Seven soldiers were injured this Tuesday when they were carrying out practices at the Álvarez de Sotomayor de Viator (Almería) maneuver field, under the Army’s Doctrine Command (MADOC).
As the Defense General Staff has transferred in a note, during the practice of one of the activities planned in the COPEX 23 exercise there has been an accident involving a light armored vehicle (BMR) in which eleven people were traveling, seven of them who have been injured and evacuated to the Torrecárdenas de Almería University Hospital.
Military maneuvers throughout Spain at Viator
Sources from this hospital center have confirmed to EFE that four of the soldiers injured during the maneuvers in Viator have already been discharged, while another three are under observation, but without vital risk.
The activity in which the military participated is part of those scheduled in the COPEX 23 joint exercise, in which around 4,000 soldiers from the Army, the Navy and the Air and Space Army are deployed in different parts of the geography Spanish. EFE
