This is how the former president of the Canary Islands also expressed himself during a rally of his party to present the municipal candidacies, to the Cabildo and to the Parliament for the island of Gran Canaria.
At the meeting, which was attended by several hundred supporters and where ‘techno’ versions of “Bella Ciao” sounded, Fernando Clavijo lamented the “little humility” that, in his opinion, some parties that “proclaim themselves favourites” for the regional and municipal elections.
“They think that the next elections are a small walk or a process. But CC is the candidate, the party of young people with enthusiasm. The people are tired of more of the same”, Fernando Clavijo has proclaimed.
Thus, he has pointed out that in his party “there are no stars” but a team that works with “generosity”.
Next, the candidate for the Gran Canaria Cabildo, María Fernández, has considered that the current president, Antonio Morales (NC) is an “exhausted” president and “accomplice” of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez.
“Go home, we’re going to kick you out,” cheered Fernández, who has insisted that he is “angry” that the island “leads the strike in the archipelago.”
Fernández has criticized that Morales has not wanted to discuss housing, alleging that it is not the responsibility of the Cabildo and has indicated that if something happens on her island, it is and has promised “10,000 rental homes” if she is elected president.
Likewise, the candidate for mayor of Las Palmas, Francis Candil, has pointed out that in the capital of Gran Canaria “it smells of change” and that he would like Las Palmas to stop leading “the lists of shame”.
“We are on the lists of the dirtiest cities, with the most youth unemployment, which loses blue flags…”, criticized Candil, who has asserted that they are going to “send unemployment” to those who govern in the city, on the island and in the canarian government
“The PSOE is over, Nueva Canarias is over and Podemos is over,” Candil said.
Throughout the act, several municipal candidates have regretted that throughout this legislature they had been given “for dead” and have claimed that the party is alive ahead of the electoral appointment on May 28. EFE
