Madrid / Palma (EFE) Social Security affiliations of almost 12%.
The positive data for April provided by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations indicate that unemployment fell in all regions, but in Balares the figures were record.
Compared to March of this year, the islands closed April with 31,011 unemployed, 8.06% less (decrease of 2,720 people) and experienced an increase in Social Security affiliations of 11.9%, up to 552,291 people, 11 .92% (58,832 more affiliations)
Compared to April 2022, the number of unemployed on the islands decreased in April by 10,904 people, 26.01% less, while the Balearic Social Security gained 34,009 employees, 6.56% more.
The best unemployment data since 2022
According to the data published this Thursday by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, and always after the Balearic Islands, the number of unemployed saw a reduction in Castilla-La Mancha (-4.67%), Extremadura (-4.01%), La Rioja ( -3.60%), Navarra (-3.46%) and Castilla y León (-3.45%).
Also above the average (-2.58%), registered unemployment fell in Cantabria (-3.37%), Andalusia (-2.80%), Catalonia (-2.73%) and Murcia (-2 .63%) and below that figure in Aragón (-2.57%), Asturias (-2.18%) and the Canary Islands (-2.02%).
Where unemployment fell least in April was in the Basque Country (-1.09%), the Valencian Community (-1.43%), Galicia (-1.77%) and Madrid (-1.97%).
Given the figures for the last year (April 2022-April 2023), the Balearic Islands also register the best figures because, although all the communities continue to register decreases in unemployment, the Balearic Islands was especially notable, no less than -26.01%, followed by also from Extremadura (-11.4%), the Canary Islands (-9.69%) and Castilla y León (-9.24%).
