Barcelona (EFE).- Bruce Springsteen, The Boss, begins his European tour tonight in Barcelona at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, with the first of the two concerts he plans to offer in the Catalan capital, his only stop in Spain on this occasion and that each of them will bring together 55,000 attendees.
Seven years after his last international tour, the man from New Jersey has once again chosen Barcelona to meet his fans on the other side of the pond after a pandemic that forced him to delay this long-awaited moment three years ago.
After tonight’s performances and next Sunday, Springsteen will travel to Ireland, France, Italy, Holland, Great Britain, Norway, Switzerland, Germany and Austria, with several concerts in each country, before resuming his American tour, which began in Tampa (Florida) on February 1.
Wrapped by his friends, like Obama and Spielberg
The long-awaited concert tonight has brought some friends of the Boss to the Catalan capital, such as former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, and film director Steven Spielberg, without ruling out other Hollywood stars, such as actor Tom Hanks , you can also attend the concert.
Until now, the party has always started with “No surrender”, which has given way to around thirty songs from all eras.
Bruce Springsteen has thoroughly prepared the concert and for this he landed last Wednesday in Barcelona, where hundreds of fans have been taking turns at the Olympic Stadium since the beginning of the week to be as close as possible to the Boss this Friday.
The hotel where he is staying, in the upper area of Barcelona, is also surrounded by dozens of fans waiting for the interpreter to come and go to get a long-awaited autograph.
