Logroño, (EFE) , Belinda León, at number 9.
This was announced this Friday at the presentation of the candidacy, whose number 2 is held by Marta Fernández Cornago -one of the new faces-, a 30-year-old economist, member of the campaign team and dedicated to the fields of equality, women, youth and sport.
She is a woman with “accredited training,” said Capellán (Haro, 1972), linked to the university field and former Minister of Education, Culture and Tourism.
Fernández Cornago, another of the novelties of the candidacy, is also deputy secretary for Women and Youth of the PP of La Rioja, and a member of the electoral campaign committee in the areas of women, equality, youth and sport.
At number 3 is the president of the party, Alberto Galiana; in number 4 the deputy and mayoress of Rodezno, Noemí Manzanos; in 5 the mayor of Nalda, Daniel Osés; in 6 the lawyer and adviser of the Popular Group in Congress, Cristina Maiso; and in 7 the former director of Sports and the Riojano Youth Institute, Teresa Antoñanzas.
At number 10 is the parliamentary spokesman, Jesús Angel Garrido; in the 11th, the former councilor in Logroño, Mar Cotelo; in 14, the deputy, former general secretary of the PP and former counselor, Carlos Cuevas; in the 15th, the mayor of Rincón de Soto, Carlos Paúl; in 16 the general coordinator of the party, Diego Bengoa and in 17, the campaign coordinator, María Martín.
The candidacy is closed by the general secretary of the PP of La Rioja, Alfonso Domínguez, a person who has been described as “fundamental” in the party and who has known how to “sacrifice” the position to “add”, he said.
A “different” politician
“I am a different politician and I do things differently”, stressed the candidate, who stressed that he feels “proud” to present a “renewed, full of commitment and illusion” candidacy to govern La Rioja in the next four years .
A third of the candidacy are “new faces”, which reflects the party’s “commitment” to renewal, but also “preparation”, since it is made up of “a large team of lawyers, economists”, as well as a plurality of professions and representatives of the entire community.
The presence of the former deputy of Cs Belinda León, who recently resigned from all her positions in the orange formation, Capellán said, attends to the fact that she has formed a “broad project in which the entire political spectrum of the center-right and left fits ” to form “the best” for La Rioja.
Regarding the presence on the list of party members, who ran for an assembly Congress to renew party positions -the mayor of Nalda, Daniel Osés, or the former senator and professor José Luis Pérez Pastor-, Capellán has indicated that he has sought “integration”, which is “what is important”.
Among those who continue, with respect to the current legislature, are Noemí Manzanos, Jesús Ángel Garrido, Carlos Cuevas, Diego Bengoa, María Martín, David Mena (mayor of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, position 18), Catalina Bastida (mayor of Auto, at 20); Alberto Olarte, at 21; Begoña Martínez Arregui, current member of the Parliamentary Bureau, and on the 23rd; and Alfonso Domínguez, who closes the list.
