Valencia, April 16 (EFE).- The 130 people evicted due to the fire started in the municipality of Alzira, which was considered stabilized yesterday at 8:00 p.m., will be able to return to their homes throughout this morning.
This has been reported by the Director General of the Interior, Salvador Almenar, after verifying the good behavior of the fire during the night, which has passed without incident.
I return throughout the morning
Almenar pointed out that the 130 people who were preventively evacuated from the chalets and spread out in the Casellla area and the umbría de la Murta “will be able to return to their homes throughout this morning.”
Even so, the natural area of La Casella and La Murta will remain closed to visitors and hikers in accordance with the decision taken by the City Council to prevent any reproduction that could occur and allow the firefighting services to work with the greatest safety and ease, which will remain this Sunday in the area.
Drone flights and ground work at night
During the night, 50 ground troops have worked and drone flights have been carried out to detect the most sensitive areas.
The sealing and consolidation work on the ground will continue throughout the day.
It is estimated that some 40 hectares have been burned, although the fire has not reached the Municipal Natural Park of La Murta and La Casella.
