Logroño, (EFE).- Leonor González Menorca, PhD in Business Sciences, appears at number two on the list of the PP for the Mayor of Logroño, headed by Conrado Escobar, and closed by the party’s general secretary, Cuca Gamarra.
Escobar has presented the candidacy this Saturday in an act, in Riojaforum, in which Gamarra, who was the first mayor of Logroño between 2011 and 2019; and the president of the PP of La Rioja, Alberto Galiana.
In position number three is the lawyer Miguel Sáinz, and, in the position before Gamarra, is another mayor of Logroño, José Luis Bermejo, who held this position between 1995 and 2000.
The list, in which, at number 21, is Jorge Gil Carrera as an independent, is made up of 16 women and 14 men, among whom youth is combined with seniority and who feel, above all, from Logroño, has underlined escobar.
“Here Logroño has a strong alternative, together with a clear and predictable project, with professionals and trained, a reflection of Logroño society, 16 women and 14 men, young people and veterans, from millennials to the planters, above all, from Logroño”, has affected.
“In the PP we are not personal brands because success is in the initials, in the team and at work, in a candidacy, all people are important,” he defended.
Leonor González Menorca was Minister of Economic Development and Innovation in the Government of La Rioja in the previous legislature, between 2015 and 2019; while Sáinz was the spokesman for the government team of the Logroño City Council led by Gamarra also in the last legislature.
In fourth place on the list is the lawyer Celia Sáinz, current councilor from Logroño, who is, together with Ángel Sáinz Yangüela, in 24th place, the only ones that appear in the current Popular Municipal Group of which Escobar is its spokesperson.
