Oviedo (EFE) opened after receiving nine boxes with documentation related to this case in January.
The Prosecutor’s Office has also initiated new procedural investigation proceedings to determine whether other crimes of appropriation, unfair administration or corruption in business may be derived from the content of the documentation in these boxes.
In the modification of his indictment, the Public Ministry also considers that the promoter of Foro Asturias would have charged his assets and personal expenses 181,648 euros, compared to the 7,793 that he had initially calculated.
The Provincial Court of Oviedo had reserved the days of May 31 and June 1 to judge the promoter of Foro Asturias and former secretary general of the PP for this cause, but it has been suspended without new dates for its celebration having been announced.
On January 30, the Prosecutor’s Office received a letter from the chief prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor’s Office against Corruption and Organized Crime accompanied by the documentation of the nine boxes deposited by an individual in a foundation, which was not identified, and in which which contained public deeds, innumerable invoices and rental contracts.
