Red Cross sources have confirmed that 28 men, ten women and five minor girls were traveling on the boat, all of them in apparent good health, while they have highlighted that they are already being treated in the port of Alicante.
They have also reported that the ‘ERIE AHI’ team has been mobilized, made up of a team leader, two emergency health technicians, two Arabic interpreters, two land rescuers and a basic life support ambulance to care for those rescued.
Those rescued join the more than 400 migrants who, since last Friday, have arrived at different points on the Spanish coast, specifically points in the Canary Islands, Andalusia, Murcia and the Balearic Islands.
In fact, in the last few hours, 23 people have arrived in Formentera in two different boats, another 17 have arrived at Cabo de Gata and 50 have been rescued off Cartagena (Murcia).
