Bilbao (EFE).- Athletic Club has begun to prepare for Saturday’s Basque derby in San Mamés against Real Sociedad with an open-door training session at ‘La Catedral’ which has been attended by several thousand rojiblancos supporters.
Most of them were youngsters, boys and girls who, taking advantage of the school holidays and the good weather in the Biscayan capital, went to the stadium to witness live the first session of the week focused on the duel against the ‘txuri urdin’ team.
Black pudding, the only absence
Jon Morcillo, who is recovering from a fractured left clavicle, was the only absence of the day.

Iñigo Lekue, the other injured player who will be out for sure in the derby due to a muscle problem, has worked on the pitch under one of the retrainers.
He has also trained with the Oscar de Marcos group, who will also not be available in his case due to suspension, and youth squad player Malcom Adu Ares, who has made the last three squads and even had minutes in the cup semifinal against Osasuna.
The rojiblanca squad will refine their set-up with three more training sessions -Wednesday, Thursday and Friday-, all of them scheduled in Lezama behind closed doors starting at 11:00. EFE
