Castro Urdiales (Cantabria) (EFE).- The organization secretary of Podemos and Secretary of State for the 2030 Agenda, Lilith Verstrynge, hopes that President Pedro Sánchez “will be clear that revalidating the coalition government is the priority.”
“The most important thing to revalidate the coalition government is that the PSOE focuses on governing and is willing to govern,” Verstrynge said in statements to the media during his visit to the Living Passion in Castro Urdiales (Cantabria), where has conveyed its condolences to the families of the victims of the sinking of the fishing vessel Vilaboa Uno, which last Monday claimed the lives of two sailors with a third still missing.
The organization secretary of Podemos has stated that “the main thing” is that the coalition government (PSOE-Unidas Podemos) “do not forget that until the last moment” it has to address important pending issues such as the housing law, which sees “the most urgent” and a “condition for the possibility of revalidation” of the Executive.
And he has stated that, beyond the “entries” of the PSOE in a political space that is not his, the main thing for the Government and his “best letter of introduction” will be the laws that he deploys. “Our intention is to push until the last day all those laws that are pending,” he added.
Regarding Podemos and Sumar, he has emphasized that the purple formation wants Yolanda Díaz as a “unity candidate” with primary elections in which all citizens vote, whether they have “political card” or not.
In Verstrynge’s opinion, Cantabria is “a good example of unity” with more than thirty coalition agreements between Podemos and Izquierda Unida “closed in recent days” that represent a representation of 80 percent of the population. “Cantabria is going to be an example and key for the Government to come”, he has predicted.
