Seville, (EFE).- Andalusia will exceed 80 percent average occupancy at Easter, especially from Holy Thursday, according to the forecasts of the Board, which expects some 2,500 flights to arrive in the community, which will mean a supply of 438,000 seats, 10 percent higher than last year.
The regional government has been convinced this Tuesday that Holy Week in the community is a “magnet” for tourism, which it has argued is a “fundamental economic engine” for Andalusia.
The data that he is considering indicates that an average occupancy during Holy Week will be around 70 percent, which can exceed 80 percent as of Holy Thursday, the spokesman for the Executive, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, has advanced at a press conference.
It is expected that up to 2,500 flights will arrive in Andalusia during the week, which will mean an offer of up to 438,000 seats, 10 percent more than last year and 5% more than in the pre-covid era.
Andalusia shines in occupation in Holy Week
“Tourism is once again flying high in Andalusia, great news for everyone, since Holy Week is going to shine like never before. Easter offers employment, in fact, thanks to the recruitment campaign, the number of unemployed in the community has been reduced to over 15,200 people”, he highlighted.
The spokesman has stopped at the unemployment data known this Tuesday to emphasize that it is the largest drop in unemployment in Andalusia in a month of March for twenty years and that the community leads the drop in unemployment and contributes one in three unemployed except in the national context.
In addition, he has stressed that the community “leads” the creation of employment, contributing one in five affiliates to Social Security and that it continues to be the “first” in the number of self-employed.
“There is much to be done but Andalusia is on the right track”, Fernández Pacheco added in his appearance after the Governing Council. EFE
