Madrid (EFE).- The actress and presenter Ana Obregón, 68, has affirmed that the girl born by surrogacy in Miami belongs to her deceased son Alejandro Lequio García and, therefore, she is not the mother of the newborn, not named Ana Sandra Lequio Obregón, but her grandmother.
The announcement, like that of the girl’s birth on March 20 at the Memorial Regional Hospital in Miami, United States, has been published by the magazine “Hola”, to which he has declared: “This was the last wish of Aless, to bring a child of his into the world.
The images published last week of Ana Obregón, 68, leaving the Miami hospital with the baby in her arms gave way to a great political, social and ethical debate in Spain due to the fact that pregnancy is not legal in Spain and the age of the actress, who was thought to be the mother.
“This girl is not my daughter, but my granddaughter”

According to what Hola publishes tonight on her website, with the cover of the magazine that will be released tomorrow, Wednesday, in newsstands, the actress has revealed the news of her son’s paternity in an interview she has given to the same magazine in Miami, at the who appears posing with her granddaughter.
“This girl is not my daughter, but my granddaughter,” he explains in “Hello” -. She is Aless’s daughter and when she grows up I will tell her that her father was a hero, so that she knows who she is and how proud she should be of him. Died at 27 years of cancer
According to Ana Obregón, said document “exists and is legal.” “When my son was diagnosed with cancer and was going to start chemotherapy treatment -he says-, the doctors recommended that he save samples of his sperm, in case the drugs affected him in the future, to make sure he could have children.”
“These samples -adds the actress- were kept in New York. That day we were in the hospital; Aless was already very bad and he told us that if something happened to him, he wanted us to know that he wanted to leave descendants in this life. At first it had been thought that the actress, who lost her 27-year-old son Aless in May 2020 as a result of cancer, had carried out surrogate motherhood with absolute discretion.
