José Luis H., alias Alcasec, who was arrested on Friday, has acknowledged access to these data during his appearance before the judge, who has followed the criteria of the Prosecutor’s Office and has agreed to his admission to prison as being investigated for a disclosure crime of secrets.
According to the judge’s order, the young man would have accessed the Judicial Neutral Point through the passwords of two officials, managed by the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), and, from there, to the database of “extended accounts” of the Tax Agency.
As a consequence, it would have had access to the bank details of more than half a million taxpayers which, in turn, were transferred to two servers hosted in Lithuania.
