Seville, (EFE).- The Andalusian Medical Union (SMA) has decided, in an autonomous assembly held this Friday, to extend the call for a strike in primary care scheduled for April 12 to every Wednesday for the next two months.
In a statement, the union organization has indicated that it is making this decision “in view of the lack of satisfactory response from the Junta de Andalucía”, although it has added that they will continue with the path of negotiation in parallel.
The days of strike in primary care will be accompanied by demonstrations that will begin on April 12 with a march in Seville and on April 19 with rallies in the different Andalusian provinces.
Comply with the agreement
On April 26, the primary care strike was joined by a rally in Malaga; on May 3 in Seville; on May 10 in Granada; on May 17 again in Malaga and on May 24 the round of strikes and scheduled rallies will conclude with a demonstration that will once again tour Seville.
“We need to comply with what was agreed last January and for the Andalusian Administration to respond to the rest of our demands expressed on numerous occasions,” said the representatives of the doctors after the assembly.
The Andalusian Medical Union has added that, as long as this does not happen, it will maintain its mobilizations. EFE
