Toledo (EFE).- The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, has congratulated the new Ministers of Industry and Health, whom he wishes to continue on the same path of closeness as the outgoing ministers, who, said, they have behaved well with the region.
In his speech during the presentation of the project for a new health center in Bargas (Toledo), García-Page referred to the appointment of Héctor Gómez as the new Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism to replace Reyes Maroto and José Manuel Miñones Conde as Minister of Health, replacing Carolina Darias.
After thanking the outgoing ministers for the behavior they have always had with Castilla-La Mancha, he praised that they are now leaving the Council of Ministers to “be something enormously honorable as it is to be candidates for their municipalities” in the May municipal elections, since the achievement of mayoralties is “a personal pride that does not depend on a decree but on the vote of the people.”
Reyes Maroto and Carolina Darias, highlighted the Castilian-La Mancha president, “they have behaved well with this region, they have always been on the phone, they have answered and they have been close, so have we.”
And therefore, he has wanted the new ministers to “continue on the same path of closeness” as their predecessors, for which, Page has said, they will have the collaboration of the regional government.
“They are trusted ministers whom we know, but even if I did not know them or they were not from the same political formation, the degree of collaboration and loyalty will always be the same, because the general interest is far ahead, and reality is that with them we can achieve many projects”, he assured.
As an example of this, he pointed out that this Monday he receives in Toledo the Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economy, Nadia Calviño, responsible for the management of all European funds and the country’s economy.
He stressed that the region is now managing more than 1,000 million euros in European funds, which “transferred to investment and employment means thousands and thousands of jobs linked to the economic and productive generation that they represent.”
Europe, he continued, “may seem far away, a distant entity in Brussels, but it conditions and moves a lot of money and often also conditions people’s lives.”
In this sense, Page has cited, “without Europe having expressly wet itself to defend the flow of the Tagus, without Europe having forced and legally regulated the need for all rivers to have an ecological flow, we would not have been able to have judgments from the Supreme Court that allow us today to claim more and celebrate that the situation is very different”, he stated.
